What Makes a Great Logo- Things Real Estate Agents Need to Consider

Symbols are an important part of our life. Human cultures all around the world are full of them. We express our values and social norms through symbols and convey important context without using long sentences. Symbols have a deeper meaning, which we often respond to subconsciously.

Modern society and the global Internet culture have reinforced the meaning of symbols and made them even more important. Emojis, advertising—these are symbols that are universal in every culture.

And what are the logos if not yet another symbol? They are a symbol of your company, a symbol of your brand and what it stands for.

So why do logos matter? To answer this question let’s discuss some of the best brand logos. What message do they convey, and most importantly how do they affect us customers?

Most Famous Logos- Why Are They Successful

What makes a good logo? There is no definite recipe but judging by the experience of the most famous brands, logos should be: distinctive, practical, and simple. Yet, they should have a deeper meaning that influences us customers subconsciously.

Here are some examples of logos done right:

Amazon

The logo of the biggest multinational technology company and powerhouse in the online shopping world, Amazon, is very distinctive.

With the brand name resembling the largest river, the Amazon, and the yellow arrow pointing from letter a to z, the logo conveys an important message—Amazon has it all. You name it and they have it.

The yellow arrow serves another purpose as well. It’s a smile with a dimple. That way Amazon shows the client’s satisfaction with their customer service.

Apple

We all know the logo of one of the most famous companies, Apple. The logo as we know it today, the bitten apple, is one of the most iconic logos ever. It’s sleek and simple, and it carries a deeper meaning. Many people think that the bitten apple resembles its predecessor known as the Fruit of Creation, enlightening and empowering people all across the world with knowledge. Although, Steve Jobs once said,  “ I love apples and like to eat them. But the main idea behind Apple is bringing simplicity to the public, with the most sophisticated way, and that’s it, nothing else.” The logo truly conveys the message of the company to think differently.

Google

Google, the multinational technology company, has yet another iconic logo. The primary color palette, which is broken by a secondary green color symbolizes that they don’t play by the rules and know how to have fun.
