On September 25, 1980, HOMBOR was established with the name Audrain County County Board of Realtors. On August 4, 2009,  the name was changed by a vote of members to the Heart of Missouri Board of Realtors, Inc. 

This organization’s multiple listing service has about 200 members, including primary, secondary, affiliates and, appraisers in  Audrain, Cole, Callaway, and Boone Counties include citizens. There are also members from Kansas City and Saint Louis.
