Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB)


TREB stands for Toronto Real Estate Board and it is a not-for-profit organization. TREB was founded as early as 1920 by several real estate practitioners. It has come a long way since 1920 and now it is considered to be Canada’s largest real estate board.

Mainly, TREB serves across the Greater Toronto Area. It has more than 50 000 licensed real estate brokers and salespersons. Its mission statement is as follows: “To be the primary professional resource providing, preserving and promoting the continuing real estate success of all Members”. Toronto Real Estate Board realtors are highly trained experts who have the tools and skills it takes to help with buying or selling homes.

TREB lobbies government officials on real estate issues that affect real estate professionals. It also offers a wide variety of courses designed to meet mandatory education requirements and to maintain professional standards. It is all done with the objective to enhance and support real estate activities.

TREB also has many charitable affiliations, such as: Realtors Care foundation, Breakfast Program, Habitat for Humanity and Scholarship program.

How do I get started?
