    How to get a Real Estate License in Colorado

    Applicants in Colorado must take 168 hours of pre-licensing courses, submit to a background check and fingerprinting, pass the exam, and hold errors and omissions insurance.


    The exam consists of 154 questions to be completed within 230 minutes. The first part of the exam covers national real estate issues and contains the following sections:

    • General principles of agency

    • Transfer of title
    • Practice of real estate
    • Calculations
