How to get a Real Estate License in Florida

To be a real estate agent in Florida, you must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma, and complete a 63-hour pre-licensing course. You also must pass a licensing exam, submit to fingerprinting, and complete a 45-hour post-licensing course.

Exam

The Florida real estate exam is 3.5 hours in length and covers the following the subjects:
  • The real estate market
  • Property description
  • Land or site valuation
  • Sales comparison approach
  • Cost approach
  • Income approach
  • Reconciliation of value indications
  • Uniform standards of professional appraisal
