    How to get a Real Estate License in Arizona

    To get your real estate license in Arizona, you must be at least 18 years old. You must not have had a real estate license rejected within one year or revoked in the past two years.Finally, applicants must complete 80 hours of pre-licensing course work and pass the license exam.


    The exam consists of 170 questions to be completed within 300 minutes. The first section of the exam consists of 80 nationally focused questions that cover:

    • Property valuation
    • Contracts
    • Property conditions
    • Federal law
    • Financing the transaction and settlement
    • Leases, rents and property management
    • Broker operations
    The second section consists of 90 Arizona-focused questions that cover:
    • Real estate statutes
    • Interest
    • Water, the environment, and land
    • Subdivisions
    • Encumbrances
    • Acquisitions
    • Disclosure and consumer protection
    • Regulated activities
    • Finance and property tax
    • Leasing and property management
    • Math calculations
