How to get a Real Estate License in Kansas

In Kansas you must be 18 years old with a high school diploma. You must complete 60 hours of pre-licensing education, submit to a background check, and pass the Kansas real estate exam within one year.

Exam

The exam consists of 110 questions to be completed within 240 minutes. The first part of the exam consists of 80 questions on general real estate topics such as:

  • Forms of ownership
  • Property value
  • Real estate contracts
  • Real estate practice
  • Disclosure
  • Financing
  • Calculations
The second section consists of 30 questions on state real estate topics, such as:
  • Duties and powers of the Kansas real estate commission
