    How to get a Real Estate License in Indiana

    Applicants in Indiana must be 18 years old and a high school graduate. They also must complete a 90-hour pre-licensing course and pass the state examination within one year.


    The exam consists of 130 questions that must be completed within 240 minutes. The exam is split into two sections: general real estate topics and Indiana real estate law. The first section covers the following subjects:

    • Forms of ownership
    • Property value
    • Contracts and agency
    • Real estate practice
    • Disclosure
    • Financing
    • Calculations
    The second section of the exam covers the following subjects:
    • The Indiana Real Estate Commission
