In 1970, a group of brokers, including Jane Stevens, started the process of form the board. To establish the North Central Pennsylvania Board of Real Estate Agents, separate brokers from Bradford County went out to the western frontier of Potter County to satisfy the NAR requirement of five brokerage firms to form the board.
It was chartered on May 9, 1973, by the North Pennsylvania Board of Realtors. There are about 15 brokerages and 80 Realtors in Potter and Tioga counties.
